Instructions:
Step 1 Prep
Preheat oven to 350°F for metal and glass pan(s), 325°F for dark or coated pan(s)
Line cake pan in foil, so you can pop it out and not worry about a mess!
Step 2 Mix
Blend cake mix, water, oil and eggs in a large bowl at low speed until moistened (about 30 seconds).
Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
Pour batter in pan(s) and bake immediately.
Step 3 Bake
Bake 26–31 min.
Cool cake(s) in pan on wire rack for 15 minutes. Remove cake(s) from pan and cool completely before frosting.
Step 4 Making Cake Pop Dough
Crumble the cake into fine crumbs with your hands in a large bowl. Mix in about 1/3 cup of frosting with your hands. The mixture should be dense but not gooey.
Step 5 Shaping
Smush the mixture in your hand to pack it tightly into a ball. Roll it into a nicely shaped ball. Roll the remaining mixture into balls.
Step 6 Coating
Grab your Candy Melts and a small microwaveable dish. Put about 5 morsels into the bowl and melt them in the microwave. Grab your cake pop sticks. Dip your stick into the melted Candy Melt and quickly stick it into a cake pop at least half way down. Repeat with remaining cake pops. Set pops on a cookie tray. Freeze for about 15 minutes so they can firm . Put your Candy Melts into a microwaveable mug. Dip the cake pop into the mug, evenly coating it. Let the coating drip off. Place cake pop on cookie sheet or on styrofoam to stand it up .
Step 7 Finishing Touches
If using sprinkles, add immediately before coating sets. Repeat for remaining pops.
